Before any electrical remodeling work is started to extend your electricity from
an existing source check the service panel to ensure that the fuse or breaker
for the current circuit can handle the load. Old wiring and new appliances don't
really mix. If you are upgrading your wiring you want to look at the types of
appliances you will be using around your home. Some items like computers might
be better served by having a dedicated circuit for it. While it is possible to
install additional outlets in your home yourself, if you are uncertain about any
aspect of the job it is better to call a professional. Sometimes even the simplest
jobs can turn into electrical nightmares if you get a wire or two crossed.
