About Corley Apprenticeships
Over a 2-3 year period, you’ll learn in a real world setting learning from the best technicians in the industry. You’ll work full time during the day with our technicians then attend classes at night at Greenville Tech. You’ll spend the first 3 months experiencing all of the trades. At the end of this introduction, you’ll declare the field you wish to pursue and enroll in school. At a minimum, we want you to get a certificate but we highly encourage you to seek an Associates degree in Applied Technology. As long as you pass your classes with a “B” average, we’ll pay for it.
We have a detailed plan of the skills you will learn and you’ll meet regularly with team leaders to check your progress. If you feel there is an area you need extra attention on, we’ll make sure you get that experience. The ultimate goal of this apprenticeship is for you to be in your own service truck and seeking your license in three years.
We are a residential service company occasionally doing light commercial work. We’re in the business of helping people and that includes at 2:00 am when something goes wrong in their house. We’ve got an on call schedule which we’ll work to accommodate your classes.
Working for Corley
Each day will be different here. You’ll work in all types of homes, repairing all sorts of issues. You’ll meet with our customers to help them figure out what they need and want to keep them safe and comfortable. You’ll have days that you’ll be Superman and you’ll have days that were not so great. What you can count on is a team supporting you who will be there every step of the way as you learn the trades.
We offer great pay that will increase at set intervals. We offer employee and family health, vision and dental insurance. We pay for short term and long term disability plus a life insurance policy for you. Since family is the most important thing, we give you paid time off to see them. We also know how important security in retirement is which is why we have a 401K that we’ll match up to 4% for you.
